CAREER OPPORTUNITY

The National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) is established under the NG-CDF Act, 2015 with the primary objective of addressing poverty at grassroots level by dedicating a minimum of 2.5% of the National Government’s share of revenue to grassroots development and the reduction of poverty. The Fund is managed by the NG-CDF Board at the National level and coordinated by the National Government Constituency Development Fund Committee (NG-CDFC) at the constituency level.

The National Government Constituency Development Committee for Kitui West Constituency seeks applications from qualified, experienced, dynamic and highly motivated candidates to fill the following position in its office based at Ndolos Corner, Kabati.

DRIVER 1 (POST) KW/NGCDF/V.1/01/2023

An officer in this position will be responsible to the Fund Account Manager for the following roles:

1. Driving the official vehicle/s of the NG-CDFC under the authority of the Fund Account Manager.
2. Carrying out routine checks on the vehicles’ cooling, oil, electrical and brake systems, tyre pressure etc.
3. Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicle systems.
4. Maintaining Work Tickets for vehicles assigned.
5. Ensuring security and safety for the vehicle on and off the road.
6. Ensuring safety of the passengers and/or goods.
7. Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle.
8. Undertake any other duty as may be assigned by the Fund Account Manager.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

For appointment to this position, a candidate must have;

1. A minimum of Kenya Certificate of Education mean Grade D plain or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
2. Holds a valid driving license.
3. Has attended a first Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from a recognized institution.
4. Passed suitability test for Driver Grade III
5. Passed practical test for drivers conducted by the relevant Ministry/Department
6. Holds a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police.
7. At least two (2) years driving experience.
8. Preference may be given to candidates originating from the recruiting constituency.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

A competitive salary package will be offered to successful candidates on a three-year renewable contract subject to performance.
